Classes in Person
The Netherlands, the UK, the US, Australia, the Czech Republic, Germany are just some of the countries of origin of some students of mine, with whom I taught Italian during their holiday in Ascoli Piceno. We enjoyed the best cappuccinos in town, visited the most hidden and secret places and above all we practiced a lot of Italian! This is one of the most beautiful aspects of my job, because it gives me the opportunity to meet in person the students with whom I have online lessons, as well as to meet people I have never met before. Thanks to these lessons I can be a city guide, a teacher and a good entertainer at the same time and I am sure I will never disappoint anyone! Classes Online
Online lessons are very convenient: you only need a PC/tablet/Smartphone and of course a good teacher! Online lessons are cheap and comfortable, because you save much money and learn a new language while staying relaxed at home. You can study Italian language online whatever CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages) level you have. Don't worry if you already speak good Italian or you have never studied it before, my online lessons are useful both for learning and improving Italian. Studying grammar is of course very important, but one of the most interesting aspects of my online lessons is that you can chat with a very good native teacher whenever and wherever you want. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs. I decide together with my student the course programme to follow and the work to do. My aim is to satisfy my students, obtaining his/her prearranged goals and giving them the chance to speak in Italian language about any topics and subjects. Each lesson lasts at least one hour and it includes: grammar, exercises, reading (books and articles) and conversation.
SOME INTERESTING INFO ABOUT MY ONLINE STUDENTS
I currently teach Italian language online to more than 20 students. They are from:
The Netherlands (with a significant number of students from Haarlem, Hilversum, Amsterdam and Rotterdam); The US (the second most significant group of students from Florida, Arkansas, New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts); The Uk (from London); Australia (from Sydney); Switzerland (from Basel); Germany (from Berlin); Spain (from Valencia) and Canada (from Ottawa). Since 2021 I am helping with free lessons two refugees women who left their home and are currently living in my town. In addition to my students of Italian, I have a small group of students who are studying German and English languages with me too. Most of the students of mine have weekly lessons, individual classes, long-term course, use to study with books and have a medium level of knowledge of Italian. Some of them regularly travel to Italy and a couple of them have a second house in Italy too. I have met some of them in my town during their holiday and it has been a wonderful experience! I met some of my Dutch students when I visited the Netherlands in 2018... what a great memory! Half of my students already studied Italian before, while the other half has begun to study Italian with me. In 2021 some of my students took part to an online nameless survey. Other Projects
Some interesting projects I have made include: Christmas photocontest; "Sinterklaas" Photo and Poem Contest (in Italian Language); Christmas Offer and Special Discount; "Bring a Friend" and Black Friday Special Discount; Special Meeting with Dutch Students in Haarlem (NL) in 2018.
"Italian Lessons for Refugees" Project
It's a program which aims to teach Italian language for free to Refugees currently living in Italy. The course of Italian language is tailored to student's needs and it helps students to learn, understand and speak Italian language in short-term. Classes are open to Refugees currently living in Italy, who are interested in learning/improving Italian language and are able to speak/understand a bit Italian language or are able to speak/understand English language. Italian Online Language is helping two refugees so far:
"Italian Lessons For Africa" Project aims to help refugees from Africa and from 2021 is helping Olufunke (a woman from Nigeria currently living near to Ascoli Piceno), who is attending classes of Italian language for free.
"Italian Lessons For Ukraine" Project aims to help refugees from Ukraine and from 2022 is helping Karina (a young mom currently living in Ascoli Piceno), who is attending classes of Italian language for free.
Past Experiences
2014-16 I had been working for a private school in Ascoli Piceno, where I have taught Italian language to students from Afghanistan, Japan, different European and African countries, Northern/Southern America and Australia. This experience has been very educational for me, because gave me the chance to practice with different students of different age, from several cultures and nationalities, as well as different level of knowledge of Italian. Since I liked teaching Italian to foreign students so much, I decided to create my own business teaching Italian to my own students.
In 2015 I started working on my own, creating my first business (Italian Skype Lessons) and I started working online with students from European countries. My first two students (Gabrielle and Betty) from the Netherlands are still studying Italian with me and have been attending weekly lessons online since then. I have met both of them in Ascoli Piceno in 2015 and 2016.
From 2016 I have been teaching in public schools of my town. Thanks to this experience I am practicing with younger students too.
