Nice to meet you!
My name is Santino Santinelli, I am Italian (from Ascoli Pieno, Marche Region), 38 years old, husband, dad, food and art lover, sporty.
I am a language teacher and teach Italian, English and German.
I graduated in applied languages at the University of Urbino. I have travelled to many European countries. I have spent several months in Germany and in Ireland where I have studied and worked. These experiences helped me to improve my personality and knowledge. I have been teaching in both public and private schools to students from all over the world.
I am a very curious person, I like travelling, visiting new places, learning new things, discovering cultures and traditions and I love talking about every topic.
In addition to teaching, I like promoting the area where I live: Ascoli Piceno, one of the most beautiful and less known old towns of Italy.

My Idea of Teaching
Teaching is not easy, but it's a beautiful job and means everything to me! I work hard, dedicating myself to my students with passion, patience, competence, courtesy and flexibility. Teaching online is great, but the most beautiful momet is when I finally meet up my students in Ascoli Piceno: while chatting with them in Italian language, I feel so happy to see how they enjoy their classes with me and my town, because we learn much more than simply grammar or common sayings: something about culture, tradition and lifestyle!
Mission
Studying languages is not simple, but it's beautiful and my mission is to help you achieve your aim! I explain grammar in a simple way with the help of many websites and books. After the explanation, I stimulate the student to write sentences or to fill in exercises, as well as to give me examples out loud. The learning of the language is also improved through reading articles, magazines, blogs and books, doing homework, by composing written texts, using apps, WhatsApp and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. In addition, I weekly write and send to my students articles of different levels, with the aim to give more tests to read about Italian culture, tradition and lifestyle!
Method
Basic and Intermediate Levels
Half of the lesson is spent studying grammar, while the remaining time is used to talk about many different topics, culture and lifestyle. Italian language is mainly used and grammar is explained in Italian too (depending on the comprehension ability of each student). Switching Italian and English could be useful only for beginners. Students are always encouraged to do their homework, as well as to review the grammar studied during the lessons. I usually suggest students to use a book. I weekly send my students tailored exercises and written explanations.
Advanced Level
Most of the time of the class is spent with conversation in Italian language about different topics and grammar won't be explained anymore, except some specific situations. The main purpose of the lesson is to teach students to understand and use complicated sentences, formal words, common sayings and proverbs. I weekly send students articles and podcasts from different national newspapers ad magazines, with the aim to read and talk about some specific topics.
I feel like I have achieved my goal, only when my students feel pleased. For this reason I teach Italian with passion, patience, competence, courtesy and flexibility!
